Because we care.

Sustainability and social responsibility play a large role in everything we do here. GFG International is committed to ethical and sustainable sourcing in every aspect of its operations and supply chain management.

Social Responsibility.

Compliance & CSR

GFG International’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme regulates and manages rigorous supplier certifications, proprietary audits and unannounced monitoring.

Additionally, our programme offers human resource services, including coaching and mentoring.

Our CSR Programme.

All GFG International production suppliers must obtain and maintain GFG International Corporate Certifications. Our CSR Programme and adherence to the United Nations Global Compact 10 Guiding Principles ensure that every facet of our network fully supports and upholds ethical human rights.

  • No Child Labour

GFG International does not accept child labour and actively works to combat it. Our employees never work at night or in hazardous conditions.

  • Freedom to Form Unions

Workers have the right to join or form trade unions. Workers' representatives may carry out their role within the workplace and are not subject to any form of discrimination.

  • A Fair Wages and Benefits Policy

Wages and benefits paid for a standard working week must meet national legal standards or industry benchmarks, whichever is greater. Wages should always be sufficient to meet basic needs and provide discretionary income.

  • Acceptable Working Hours

Working hours comply with national laws or benchmark industry standards, whichever are more beneficial to the specific workers.

  • No Harsh or Inhumane Treatment

The use of physical abuse or discipline, the threat of physical abuse, sexual or other harassment and verbal abuse, or any form of intimidation is strictly prohibited.

  • Active Care for Health and Safety

All workers are entitled to work in environments where risks to their health and safety are properly controlled. Under health and safety law, the primary responsibility for this is down to employers.

Go Green. Go GFG

Sustainability

Sustainability improves the quality of our lives, protects the ecosystem, and preserves natural resources for future generations. Ethical practices not only benefit our clients from a business perspective, but going green helps maximise the long-term benefits from an environmental standpoint.

GFG International provides sustainable products to a worldwide market. Sustainable sourcing is strongly integrated into our organisation and helps dictate who we choose to work with. We hand-pick suppliers who align with our social, ethical and environmental standards.

As we grow, we look forward to helping our people and our planet as much as possible. Currently, our sustainable resources and company-wide practices include Organic Cotton, Recycled Fibres, BCI Cotton, Oeko-Tex, and Low Impact Washing.

Our Goal.

Working toward the long-term goal of a greener planet has become an extension of our commitment to corporate responsibility and an integral part of our overall business structure and model.

  • Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

  • Recycled Fibres

Using recycled thermoplastic fibers reduces the dependence on petroleum as a source of raw materials. It curbs discards, thereby prolonging landfill life and reducing toxic emissions from incinerators.

  • BCI Cotton

Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), is a concept to grow cotton with judicious use of water, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, to reduce the environmental footprint of cotton farming.

  • Okoe-Tex

Oeko-Tex labels and certificates confirm the human-ecological safety of textile products and leather articles from all stages of production (raw materials and fibres, yarns, fabrics, ready-to-use end products) along the textile value chain.

  • Low Impact Washing

The washing will be sustainable and efficient, reducing the operational cost, the environmental impact and guaranteeing zero waste. To make it possible to eliminate polluting traditional processes and discharge from the textile finishing industry, as well as the harmful manual processes of scraping and grinding.

  • REACH Compliant

REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry.
